Home Flights Hotels Diary

Conclusion

I had not high expectations on these flights as I had read a number of reports and also talked to regular flyer of British Airways. I am sure this helped a lot, but in the end, I was not disappointed.

I used the flight to Montreal to work and the seat was very comfortable and it was possible to work without problems. The only down was, that the seat had only an empower outlet and thus I was unable to re-charge my laptop. Of course it helped, that I had a free seat next to me and two laptops. Being in a cabin with a very low load was also an advantage …

Service was okay. The crew was friendly and the service okay. Nothing outstanding, but also nothing to complain about. Food was also okay, actually better than I had expected, though the presentation has some room for improvement.

The only down is the transfer in Heathrow, which is still chaotic and not very organized. Also the lounge situation in London has room for improvement with the lounges being overcrowded and already in the need for a refurbishment in some areas. But this also applies – at least from my point of view – to Lufthansa’s homebase Frankfurt.

I will give British Airways another try in World Traveller Plus in 2015 and also see how they compare with Lufthansa and Lot in 2016. In so far, stay tuned for updates …
