Due to a sign showing the wrong direction we headed in the wrong direction but at the second sign noticed the wrong direction and went back. It was quite a hike to the transfer desk of Lufthansa. There was a young guy sitting who had to make several phone calls to locate our luggage and printed our boarding passes. Airoli was on a complicated award ticket and I was on a stopover ticket and still on my way to my final destination, only that the stopover was this time longer than my time at my final destination. After nearly twenty minutes we got our boarding passes and headed to the Thai Airways Royal Orchid Lounge.

Unfortunately we were only able to enter the Business Class Section this time. At this time of the day, the lounge was not very full.

We took a seat checked our mails due to the free Wi-Fi in the lounge, had some food. Some minutes prior to scheduled boarding time we left the lounge. The security check is just outside the lounge and at least at this time it was quite empty, since there were only passengers from the lounge. Unfortunately I was queuing at the wrong line. A family in front of me was not really prepared for a security check and it took them some time to get laptop out of the carry on and belt off etc. Airoli was in another line and had passed security in just seconds while I was still queuing, but finally I made it too.

The new airport is quite impressing but you also can see some damagers if you look a bit closer. From the way to the gates, one has a good view on the tarmac and it's nice to see all the planes of different airlines standing at the gates.

Boarding had not started as we arrived at the gate, but only a few minutes later the boarding announcement was made and we entered the cabin. This time only Economy for us.

We took our seat in the exit row, but changed seat several times to try the best seat. The plane was nearly empty on this two hour flight to Kuala Lumpur.

We pushed back right in time and were airborne ten minutes later.

The first beverage round was made after 35 minutes in flight. We both skipped the offered snack box with a sandwich and only took something to drink. The captain came over the microphone and told us we were flying over Pattaya and later gave an update of the weather in Kuala Lumpur.

Beside another beverage round after 70 minutes flight time there was not much seen of the flight attendants on this flight. So we have had time to remember our last flight and plan our three days in Kuala Lumpur.

At 17:50 local time we began our final approach into Kuala Lumpur. It was raining as we touched down at 18:10 and arrived at our gate at 18:15. There was no information being in another time zone than Bangkok here in KL. Immigration was only a short wait.

We could see the arrival service of a HON and his family. They were guided to the VIP and fast track lane and their luggage arrived several minutes before the rest of the luggage. But Priority Sticker worked quite well, since our luggage was among the first to arrive. We changed money and took the elevator down to the train to KL Sentral.
